How to Apply

An application must be filled out for all graduate programs at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Payment of the on-line application fee may be by credit card (Visa and MasterCard only) or check.

Application Fee Waiver Request

US citizens and permanent residents only may request a waiver of the application fee.

Waivers are provided to applicants in the following situations:

  • Applicants who are currently receiving need-based financial assistance from an undergraduate or graduate institution.
  • Applicants who are participating in selected federal, state, and private graduate school preparation programs.
  • Applicants who have been granted a waiver of the fee for the Graduate Record Examinations by the Educational Testing Service.

Prior to submitting your online application, please request an application fee waiver code by emailing ogs@med.miami.edu.

University of Miami employees please contact the Office of Graduate Studies before applying and ask how you may have your application fee waived. Do not use this on-line application if you have already applied and paid an application fee for admission to the Ph.D. or Masters programs at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.

Once a completed application has been received, the Admissions Committee (consisting of a minimum of 3 faculty members) reviews it in comparison with the standards expected of incoming students and with other applicants. Admissions recommendations are made to the Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Studies who issues formal acceptance letters.
